Good Shepherd School Under 8 Soccer Team Puts One in the Win Column

  • September 4, 2012

The Under 8 Good Shepherd Catholic School (Perryville, MD) soccer team played their first game recently against the Havre de Grace Ninjas.

The Ninjas were a formidable opponent with several goal
attempts buffeted by GSCS’s goalie, Aiden Zimmerman (2nd grade).  The GSCS Crusaders came through and won with a score of 1 to 0.  The goal was scored by Connor Gebhardt (1st grade).

This is the first year that Good Shepherd has had a soccer
team.   Most of the members have never played
before.   They all played hard and gave it their best.  Their next game is Saturday at 10:15.

What an impressive performance by such a young team, surely a team effort by the youngsters and a GREAT coaching. Than you Kate for submitting this fabulous article!
