The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) Susquehanna Chapter presented a check for $1,565 to the Perry Point Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Center in Perryville, MD on 19 September 2012. The VA Maryland Health Care System is working to raise $8,000 to purchase patriotic gifts for each of the 700 hospitalized Veterans this Veterans Day, 11 November 2012.  MOAA conducted a Stay-at-home-tea (SAHT) from mid-July to mid-September to raise funds to support this effort.  A letter was sent to all chapter members with a selection of teas, which the members enjoyed in the comfort of their homes while they sent donations to the chapter supporting VA Maryland Health Care System.  Others who wish to support the Perry Point VA effort can contact them directly at http://www.maryland.va.gov/giving/.
