Aberdeen Middle Student Charged With Pulling Alarm

The incident occurred at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday at Aberdeen Middle School.

An Aberdeen Middle School student was charged with pulling a fire alarm in a non-emergency Tuesday.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal said the Aberdeen Volunteer Fire Company and Aberdeen Police Department responded around 1:50 p.m. to the school, located in the 100 block of Mount Royal Avenue.

A male student intentionally pulled the alarm, according to a release from the Fire Marshal's Office. He was charged and released to his parents, the statement said.

The automatic alarm sounded, but sprinklers did not activate, according to the release.
