Aberdeen Trailer Fire Under Investigation

The Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of a trailer fire Sunday morning.

Fire officials are investigating what caused a recreational trailer to burn early Sunday morning in Aberdeen.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal said Monday that a "Hitchhiker fifth wheel recreational trailer" sustained aproximately $2,100 damage when it caught fire in the 1500 block of South Philadelphia Boulevard.

The Aberdeen Fire Department responded at 4:04 a.m. and had the fire under control in five minutes, according to a statement from the fire marshal.

Nobody was injured in the blaze, according to the fire marshal's initial report.

The fire, called in by a patrol unit from the Harford County Sheriff's Office, originated in the rear section of the trailer.

Anyone with information may contact the fire marshal's Northeast Regional Office at 410-836-4844.
