Bri Jones, Aberdeen's star girls basketball player, was recently featured on ESPN.com in a post about top recruits in the nation.
The 6-foot-3 post player helped the Eagles to the Class-3A state final this March. Recently, she made an impact at a national basketball tournament in Washington, D.C., where she was participating with the Fairfax Stars.
The following is an excerpt from the capsule—compiled by columnist/evaluator Mark Lewis—on Jones, who was listed under the "2013 Checklist":
"This 6-3 post is just scratching the surface of what she might be able to accomplish long term. The size is there as well as some good hands and a willingness to get up and down the floor. ..."
"Lots of tools are in place and she's deceivingly mobile. If the conditioning becomes a priority, she can take her game to another level."
ESPN.com rates Jones in the top 100 of her graduating class—16th at her position.
