Ben Rigdon, 57, of Darlington, is the master of ceremony at any auction he attends.
At the grand opening for Auto Auction of Baltimore in Aberdeen on Feb. 1, Rigdon auctioned off more than 100 cars in about two hours.
Like a manic salesman, Rigdon talked, yelled and even rapped to get people to buy cars at the auction.
"Auctioneering is almost like a sport," said Rigdon, who has practiced auctioneering since he was 11 years old.
Last year, Rigdon competed in the World Automobile Auctioneers Championship in Sanford, FL, where he placed 14th in the nation.
