Gino's, Aaron's Could Open Before Year End

Two new businesses are set to open in Aberdeen at the Corner At Beards Hill development.

Aberdeen could have new restaurant and shopping options before Christmas.

Management at both Gino's and Aaron's are looking at opening before the end of December—with Aaron's aiming for an opening before Christmas, according to the developer of The Corner At Beards Hill.

Wayne Tapscott said a third tenant has not been solidified for the first building of the development at the former HarCo Auto Park property.

"We have a number of leads we're working on," Tapscott said in regards to the third business.

The third storefront comes with 2,100 square feet, Tapscott said.

Looking at the building, the available storefront is to the right, Aaron's in the middle and Gino's—with a drive-thru window—is at the far left, nearest West Bel Air Avenue.

The second building of the development could break ground after the start of the new year, particularly if weather continues like it has this week.

"We hope to start the second building early in the spring," Tapscott said.

He said the second building is a mirror image of the first.

We need a craft store in Aberdeen. Bel Air is not convenient every time folks need something. Walmart leaves a lot to be desired.

Aaron's the furniture store? How about a nice coffee shop in the available spot?

A FedEx-Kinkos store would be helpful.

What about a Kohl's, or a Staples...in Aberdeen. How about up scale dining, or up scale clothing stores. Aberdeen Business Park, behind Target would have been a great location, as would the office building along Long Drive.
