UPDATED: Man Stabbed in Aberdeen Monday
The incident happened early Monday morning on Plater Street in Aberdeen, MD.
UPDATED (1:45 p.m.)—A 22-year-old man was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma early Monday morning after he was stabbed in Aberdeen.
Eric Takacs, 22, of the 700 block of Plater Street was found suffering from stab wounds in his abdomen and back, and also with "numerous facial injuries," Aberdeen police said in a statement Monday afternoon.
The incident took place at 1:19 a.m. in the 700 block of Plater Street in Aberdeen, as first reported by Patch Monday morning.
Police said initial investigations revealed two males confronted and robbed Takacs before an altercation that led to the victim being stabbed and beaten. The unidentified men fled the scene.
Takacs was driven home from the scene, at which point in time police were notified. He is expected to be released Monday, police said.
