MMA Youth Program Kicks Back Bullying

Top Flight Mixed Martial Arts offers an anti-bullying program for children.

Top Flight MMA instructor Ron Stallings believes a problem with the youth today is a lack of confidence, which can make them vulnerable to bullying.

For the past five years, Stallings has been teaching children mixed martial arts at to help them prevent bullying, feel motivated and build strength.

"A lot of kids don't have the confidence to believe in themselves and really are oblivious to the potential they have," said Stallings. "They look to other areas to try to identify with and sometimes it's negative things."

Jordan Stewart, 13, is a first year student at Top Flight MMA. He says he would spend time at home watching television before joining the program.

"They have inspired me to do new things that I never thought I would accomplish," said Stewart.
