Nearly Half the UCBAC Reaches Football Postseason
The Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference will be represented in three region playoffs.
The Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference will have six teams participating when the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association region playoffs begin Friday.
Six of the 15 UCBAC teams reached the playoffs this year after four qualified last year. It's the most teams to reach the region playoffs from the Harford-Cecil league since a record seven teams made the postseason in 2006.
Aberdeen and Perryville reached the postseason for the first time since 2004. Fallston and Patterson Mill are playoff-bound for the second straight year. North Harford is playing for the third straight November, while Havre de Grace has been in the playoffs every year since 2006.
Here is the breakdown, including one semifinal matchup of local rivals, and the potential for two final showdowns of UCBAC foes:
CLASS 1A EAST
