Police Release Images Of Robbery Suspect

Harford County Sheriff's Office is seeking a male in his 40s.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office released images Wednesday morning of a man they say robbed the Cecil Bank on Pulaski Highway in Havre de Grace Tuesday afternoon.

Monica Worrell, spokeswoman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office, said the man is described as a clean-shaven, 5-foot-8 or 5-foot-9, in his mid-40s wearing a dark blue baseball cap, blue shirt and blue jeans. He ran away in an area behind the bank, Worrell said.

The man came into the bank around 3:15 p.m. and demanded money from a teller. There was no weapon used and no injuries were reported, Worrell said.

Residents in the area of the Greenway Farms neighborhood reported police activity in the woods along Mohegan Drive following the incident.

Havre de Grace police spokesman PFC Jeff Gilpin confirmed in an initial Patch report at 3:30 p.m. that police were responding to a robbery at the bank, but he had very few details at the early stage in the investigation.

Anyone with information should call Det. Chris Sergent with the sheriff's department at 410-836-5428.
