Ravens Star in Celebrity Softball at Ripken Stadium
The Lardarius Webb Charity softball game will be played Sunday in Aberdeen.
Ripken Stadium is home to the Aberdeen IronBirds and a number of annual events in Aberdeen.

Ray Rice. Joe Flacco. Lardarius Webb.
But not at Ripken Stadium. And not like this.
Webb will host a charity softball game Sunday featuring a number of his Ravens teammates and other Baltimore-area sports celebrities.
The game will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County and Baltimore.
Flacco's brother—Orioles minor league infielder Mike Flacco—has played at the ballpark.
Sunday's game—with a first pitch of 2:30 p.m.—pits Rice and Flacco and the Ravens offense against Webb and his defensive teammates.

Awesome game, great time, and I anticipate next year to sell out. All players were signing autographs, joking around with fans and at the end, throwing out their jerseys (Rice even signed his shoes and handed them out!)
The ONLY complaint I have was the concessions. Nearly 45 minutes before the game even started, they were out of pretzels, nachos, large cups, and some other items. I ended up settling for a Chic-Fila sandwich, or what I was TOLD to be one wrapped in aluminum foil. Got to my seat and turned out to be a $4 thin piece of grilled chicken on a bun that would never pass as Chic-Fila. Needless to say, next time I'll eat before going in and wasting money.

I would like to comment on the concession situation. There is a new company running the concessions this year, and this game was their first event. The Celebrity game last year brought in about half the size crowd, and I do not think they were prepared in either staff or supplies for the number of people that were there. I agree that the concession situation was annoying, but I saw far too many people taking it out on the young people working at the counter, some of whom were working their first game. These were ADULTS screaming and cursing at kids who were just trying to do their jobs. I am sure that many of these issues will be addressed before the Ironbirds season starts, and that they will be better prepared in the future.

Stacey, believe me when I say I was not one of them. I was frustrated, but I took my food and made my way to my seat.
While I understand the kids working are not at fault, it was clearly a poor decision on behalf of the event coordinators to pick such an event to be their first go at it. There's no way they had no idea how many tickets were sold for the game (vast majority in advance) and couldn't prepare. And it's not like they ran out halfway through the game, it was closer to an hour in advance. And moreso, on several occassions leading up to the event, I heard comments about the food being up to par and outstanding and nonstop talk about the food, so I can imagine families headed to a game around lunchtime surpassed the McDonald's pit stop hoping for some good grub and were totally let down. Just overall frustrating.
