"EyeBlack is a great partner for all that we do at Ripken Baseball," Cal Ripken said in a news release. "It is a product that is both fun and functional. I wore it when I played and I know how popular it is with the young ballplayers that come through our complexes."
EyeBlack has a licensing agreement with Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball, including the Aberdeen IronBirds.
Approximately 1,500 teams will visit the Aberdeen youth complex in an average year, meaning there will be plenty of EyeBlack handed out this summer.
"Being aligned with a brand like Ripken Baseball is great for EyeBlack and our commitment to helping baseball and softball players on the field," EyeBlack president and founder Peter Beveridge said in a news release. "Cal and Bill have built an empire that promotes the game the right way and that fits with our motto, Play Tough, Play Smart. We look forward to having a presence at their tournaments and camps throughout the year, as well as continuing our growth in the sport on the youth level."
