Baltimore Man Killed in Route 40 Crash Saturday
The crash near Aberdeen occurred at 12:40 p.m., Maryland State Police said.
Maryland State Police said that a man died in a single-vehicle crash on Route 40 near Aberdeen Saturday afternoon.
Joseph Rohrbaugh, 25, of Baltimore, was driving the 1992 black Acura Integra involved in the fatal crash, according to police.
Troopers from the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack responded to a collision reported on Pulaski Highway at Mitchell Lane at 12:40 p.m. Saturday.
Police said that preliminary investigation indicates Rohrbaugh was driving westbound on Pulaski Highway approaching Mitchell Lane when he lost control of the vehicle, which slid sideways and hit a guardrail abutment.
Rohrbaugh was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
As troopers investigated the crash, eastbound Route 40 between MD Route 543 and Spesutia Road was closed for three hours, according to the report.

The trooper who responded to that took photos with his phone and sent it to a bunch of people, I have seen it, it is bad. I don't even know Joe and I am sorry for your loss, but felt the family should know the officer is sending pics of the accident and it is horrible.
