Royal Farms Proposed For Route 40
Aberdeen could be welcoming a Royal Farms store to Route 40.
A Royal Farms store is proposed for U.S. Route 40 in Aberdeen.
The site plan for the store has been approved by the Aberdeen planning commission, and was introduced at Monday's City Council meeting.
Mayor Michael Bennett announced Monday that council would not vote on the proposal, but rather a public work session will be held at 4 p.m. on April 16.
The store—which is proposed for 1.74-acre parcel at 744 S. Philadelphia Blvd.—is designed to have gas pumps and a car wash.
Aberdeen has a Royal Farms at the intersection of MD Route 22 and Middleton Road.
The site plan calls for 50 parking spaces at the store.
An target opening date was not available.
