Wintry Mix in Forecast for Aberdeen

Snow and rain may make travel difficult Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Aberdeen could see a few inches of snow between Tuesday and Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service.

A winter storm warning begins at midnight for Harford County and the Baltimore/D.C. metro areas. This means that there is the potential for significant snow accumulations that may impact travel. The warning is in effect through 3 a.m. Thursday.

The National Weather Service issued a small craft advisory Tuesday and a gale warning for the Chesapeake Bay Wednesday. Wind gusts could get as high as 41 mph. Combined with heavy snow, there could be power outages.

BGE is bringing in 500 extra employees to help with service repairs and 1,750 of its own crews to be ready in case of "hundreds of thousands of outages in its service area," according to a news release Tuesday.

Some snow could fall Thursday throughout the area as well.
