Dozens of projects were featured at last week's STEM Fair at Aberdeen High School.

"We had over 135 projects and many HCPS, APG and community judging volunteers. It was a fabulous event," Aberdeen Science and Math Academy teacher Yvonne Gabriel told Patch in an email.

Sehlah Khalid's "Glow It and Show It" took home the first place prize.

"Bad Apples" by Tatiana Gomez and Imani Thompson won second place, followed by "The Effects of Biodiesal on Stream Communities" by Jacob Riedal.

Belawoe Akwakoku and Paulina Brewer received honorable mention for "How Smell Affects Taste."
