The wind is howling like nuts up Green Street and the trees already look like they are gonna snap! Trying to control my inner chicken little! Never seen the downtown so quiet. Hear there are firemen sitting in the Fire Houses in HDG ready to go. Thanks fellas - what would Havre de Grace do without these fine people we have to guard us?!!

So Mr. Miller, what is the council going to do about Lily run? you have surely been in office long enough that your contribution shouldn't be a post stating the obvious!

Mr. Miller is the most straightforward, upright, forward thinking and hardest worker there is on the council. And not everyone can see lily run from where they are, so I for one appreciate updates about it

Brenda we have a plan to fix the problem. The city is working thru the mountain of red tape that is required to get the job done. 99% of it deals with other goverment agencies. That and the money to pay for the project. I wish it was that simple. If it was up to me we would have already done something.

Brenda, Mr. Miller was posting an observation during a hurricane that could be used as valuable information. You saw it as another opportunity to attack another HdG elected official. I noticed that about you. It doesn't matter what the topic is...you always find a way to bash the mayor, council and other city officials. If the city council makes you so mad you should run for office yourself. (or maybe you already have) I'm not here to defend the council, I'm just here to defend common decency on what should be an informative news site.

It looks the rain is coming to an end and now it's just a little too windy. I hope everyone stays safe until this blows over. And, Brenda, why do we always have to get into the politics of HDG? - especially now when some of our citizens could be in trouble because of this hurricane. Leave the politics for the city council meetings.

Most all the boaters in town either had their boats hauled-out of the water or doubled up their dock lines in case of a storm surge like we had with Isabelle in 2003. Instead we had a 'blowout'.... the water was real low even at high tide! Some of the boats at Tidewater and the City Marina were even sitting 'on the bottom' through the night.
I guess 'Murphy's Law' still applies :-)

Still no power in Havre de Grace. Not complaining,we are fine, home is fine.
Must be down trees or power lines somewhere I'm not aware of.

I just drove home from my parents in Bayview Estates. All of the traffic lights STILL appear to be out, and Bayview and part of the hillside north of Tydings Rd had power, while down in town there still seems to be complete power outages north of Pennington Ave. All of us on the south side of town have managed avoid any major outages.
