Your Weekend: Turkey Bowl and Black Friday Specials

Here's what's going on for your Thanksgiving weekend.

 

Thanksgiving Day

The 2012 Turkey Bowl returns to M&T Bank Stadium. Calvert Hall and Loyola will meet for the 93rd time in the historic series. Kickoff is at 10 a.m. Tickets are $10. The game will air locally on ABC2. Loyola leads the series 48-36-8, but the Cardinals have taken the last three meetings, including last year's, where they rolled to a 34-17 victory.

The Y of Central Maryland hosts Turkey Trot 5K's in Towson, Bel Air, Catonsville and Westminster. There's also a 5K at Bulle Rock in Havre de Grace.

Friday

It's Black Friday. Many retailers are opening early for deals. Some are even letting some deals loose Thursday evening. One website has aggregated many national Black Friday circulars.

Enjoy pizza with Santa at the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum.

The Festival of Trees is Friday through Sunday at the Timonium Fairgrounds. The event benefits the Kennedy Krieger Institute.

Saturday

The annual lighted boat parade returns to Middle River.

Actor and comedian Jay Mohr appears at Magooby's Joke House in Timonium.

Sunday

Perry Hall High School has a benefit concert for Daniel Borowy, the student injured in a shooting there earlier this year.

The Baltimore Ravens, fresh off their bruising win at Pittsburgh, go to San Diego to face the Chargers. Kickoff is at 4:05 p.m. Baltimore time.

What, pray tell, does jim's comment have to do "Your Weekend: Turkey Bowl and Black Friday Specials?"

Since it was brought up: I am fairly ambivalent about Mr. Obama's tenure as President. He is not the best nor the worst that we have had. If the actions of one President serving for 8 years can bring about the end of our nation, that says more about the people of this nation than it does about Mr. Obama.
