Vote for Harford’s Most Beautiful Baby Starting April 2

Beginning April 2, you can cast your vote on the contest website for Harford’s Most Beautiful Baby as part of the fifth annual “Celebree Presents Harford’s Most Beautiful Baby” contest hosted by Harford Family House. The 10 entries that receive the most votes will move on to face the judges as semi-finalists, and the winner of the grand prize package valued at more than $11,000 will be announced at a free event on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Center Court of Harford Mall.

 

The announcement of the contest winner at 2:00 p.m. will be the culmination of a day packed with events that include additional live contests and entertainment emceed by honorary event chairperson Kristy Breslin of WJZ-TV. While registration for the Most Beautiful Baby Contest closes March 31, registration for the Mother/Daughter Look-a-Like Contest, Father/Son Look-a-Like Contest, Parent/Child Look-a-Like Contest and Baby Crawl race is open until noon on May 9 online at the contest website, and on-site registration for those contests opens at 10:00 a.m. at Harford Mall’s center court on May 10. Entertainment will include “The Magic of Steve Gambrill, The Extreme Balloon Man of Extreme Family Entertainment” as well as a martial arts demonstration performed by Chung’s Martial Arts.

Among other prizes, this year’s grand prize winner will receive a full year of preschool courtesy of Celebree Learning Centers, along with other prizes that include jewelry and gift certificates, with an estimated value of $11,000. Generous prize packages will also be awarded to the second and third place Beautiful Baby contest winners. Prizes and other event support are provided thanks to the generosity of event sponsors including Celebree Learning Centers, Jones Junction, University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Rosedale Federal Savings & Loan Association, APGFCU, Harford Mutual Insurance Company, Susquehanna Bank, Mars Supermarkets, My Gym, Saxon’s Diamond Centers, Harford Mall, Bel Air Athletic Club, Anni Oh Photography, Dr. Jeffrey Horowitz and Klein’s ShopRite.

All proceeds from the contest and associated events go to support Harford Family House, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary of providing transitional housing for homeless families in Harford County. To Enter the Most Beautiful Baby Contest:

Parents must submit a non-professional photograph of their newborn through 18-month-old and a $25 entry fee between March 1 and March 31. Entries can be submitted online, at all Harford County Celebree Learning Centers or by mailing a photo, entry form and check to Harford Family House at 53 E. Bel Air Ave., Suite 3, Aberdeen, MD, 21001. All checks should be made payable to Harford Family House. No entries will be accepted after March 31.

 

The top 10 entrants will be notified in advance and must be available to attend the award ceremony on May 10 at the Center Court of Harford Mall.

Harford Family House is the largest provider of transitional housing for homeless families with children in Harford County.  Other programs include Emergency Shelter for families and HUD Supportive Housing for homeless families where one of the adults has a disability.  Clients are provided with a fully furnished apartment or house and receive case management services and referrals to partner agencies to move them from homelessness and hopelessness to hope and independence.
