4.  CASA of Harford County Spring Volunteer Training

Where: 101 S. Main St., Bel Air, MD 21014

Date: Weekly on Saturdays and Mondays

Time: 6–9 p.m.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Harford County needs community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of our community’s abused and neglected children.

CASA's are community volunteers who complete 30-hours of orientation training and serve as an advocate for children in foster care due to abuse or neglect. CASA volunteers' main role is to ensure children's educational, physical, and emotional needs are being met, and they quickly find a safe, permanent home.

Our Spring class, starting March 21, is filling up quickly, so please let us know if you are interested in making a difference in a child's life today!

5.  Tobacco Cessation Classes

Where: 1321 Woodbridge Station Way, Edgewood, MD 21040

Date: Weekly on Mondays

Time: 6–7:30p.m.

The Harford County Health Department offers tobacco cessation classes at no cost to all tobacco users who want to quit. Nicotine patches, lozenges or gum may be available at no cost to those who qualify. Please call 410/612-1781 for additional information or to register for a class.
