Aberdeen Nonprofit Adopts Families for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving came early at Harford Family House.

The weekend before Thanksgiving, 23 families were treated to a feast through Harford Family House.

Based in Aberdeen, Harford Family House provides transitional housing for homeless families with children.

In addition, the nonprofit organization offers case management, life skills and social support to help families become self-sufficient.

Twenty-three families, plus people and organizations that sponsor them, were in attendance at last weekend's Thanksgiving feast, which organizers described as "fabulous."

Wegmans donated and catered the holiday meal. An author read a story from her soon-to-be-released children's book, and a balloon artist was also on hand.
