Aberdeen's Middleton Road To Remain Closed

The City of Aberdeen asked for patience and said the road may re-open the week after the July 4 holiday.

The City of Aberdeen has asked for residents to remain patient as repairs to Middleton Road are likely to continue for at least another week.

After initially setting a target date to re-open the road by June 30, city officials said Friday the road could remain closed through July 8.

The city put out a message to residents via an automated call, as well as via email and text message Friday afternoon:

Hello. This is the City of Aberdeen Department of Public Works with an important message. Middleton Road repair work will continue for the next several days. The road will remain closed until the necessary work is completed. We estimate the work to be complete around July 8th. Please continue using alternate routes to reach your destination. We apoogize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.Middleton Road connects MD Route 22 and West Bel Air Avenue. Alternate roads connecting the two main thoroughfares include Beards Hill Road and Paradise Road.
