Independence Day is here, the 235th birthday of the United States of America.

1. The IronBirds Can Not Win Independence From Losing

The Hudson Valley Renegades have beaten the IronBirds over two games by a combined score of 23-1. They shut out Aberdeen on Saturday, 8-0, and won on Sunday, 15-1. The teams play again Monday night. According to the IronBirds press office, the team is "winless on the road."

The Bel Air Independence Day celebration is an all-day affair, with a flag-raising event beginning at 6:30 a.m. and fireworks capping off the day at 9:30 p.m. There's also a frog jumping contest,

If you love to sing harmony, if you're looking for a place to sing and be a part of group, come check us out, on Monday evenings, in the Fellowship Hall at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Aberdeen. The Upper Chesapeake Chorus is an extraordinary group of more than 40 women who gather together in celebration of the art form known as barbershop music.

As of April 30, 2011, our chorus is the new First Place chorus in Region 19 (the Atlantic Bay-Mountain Region) of Sweet Adelines International!
