1. The IronBirds Lose 9-4. The IronBirds closed out their three-game series against the Lowell Spinners Friday night. According to the team's press office, the game was close for the first seven innings, but the Spinners scored six runs to finish out the game.

- The Amateur Jousting Club of Maryland

The Amateur Jousting Club of Maryland will present a benefit match on July 9th on the grounds of the Elkridge-Harford Hunt Club to raise funds for the Historical Society of Harford County. The Bob Six Memorial Joust will take place at 11 a.m. in the horse show/polo ring of the hunt club's facility. This is a family day and tailgate picnics are encouraged. There is no seating so please bring blankets or lawn chairs. (Please no pets).
This is the first new tournament to be held in Harford County in the past 15 years and will be only the second to be held in the county overall. Members of the AJC will meet with spectators to explain the sport. A class for amateur riders who have never jousted before will also be held.

- Farmers' Market

Date: Weekly on Saturdays

Havre de Grace holds a Farmers' Market on Pennington Avenue at Washington Street every Saturday through October. Local farmers bring fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, honey, cut flowers, baked goods, potted plants and more.

- Tubing Down the Little Gunpowder
Where: Gunpowder Falls State Park, 10000 Belair Rd, Kingsville
Date: July 9-10
Time: 10 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Oregon Ridge Nature Center offers a day of tubing on the Little Gunpowder. Space is limited. Cost is $10 ($8 for members). Participants should bring lunch and wear clothing and shoes that can get wet. The group will meet on location in Northern Baltimore County on the Little Gunpowder. Call to register and to get directions. Children must be at least 8 years old to participate and children
under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
