Five Things for Saturday

The IronBirds fell to the Brooklyn Cyclones again Friday night.

1. The IronBirds Lose 11-1. After a brutal 13-0 lose Thursday night, the IronBirds lost in Brooklyn to the Cyclones Friday. This is the second consecutive season that Aberdeen has been without a win in Brooklyn, the IronBird's press release said

Where: Boys & Girls Club of Harford County, 100 E Bel Air Ave, Aberdeen, MD 21001 (sponsored by Greater Faith Christian Center - Youth Ministry)

Time: 6–9 p.m.

Various inspirational singers, rappers, praise dancers, youth speakers and others. Youth groups from area churches will attend. Refreshments will be served and other exciting activities will be presented.

Where: Wilson Ministry Center, 1024 Main St, Darlington

A fine arts show, sponsored by the Wilson Ministry Center in the village of Darlington, will be held Friday, September 23 through Sunday, September 25, 2011. This juried show is open to all artists in the Harford, Cecil, Baltimore and lower Pennsylvania county region.

Mail up to three photos of your work with $15 entry fee payable to the Wilson Ministry Center (tax deductible) to: Ms. Nancy Welsh, 2122 Shuresville Rd., Darlington, MD 21034. Deadline is Wednesday, August 31. No photography, prints or computer generated art will be accepted. Entry fee and 10 percent of sales benefit the Wilson Center.
