Make 2012 An Eventful Year

If you are a regular reader on Aberdeen Patch, then you probably noticed the events calendar on the homepage.

Patch had readers in mind when creating this section. This is everyone's area to post events for the whole community to find out about.

Whether you want to promote a fundraiser, a school event, a blood drive, a business opening, a religious gathering, a concert, a political demonstration, a sports tournament, a festival or a garage sale - no event is too small to share on Patch.

Creating an event is easy. First, click "Add an Event" to go to the new event editing page. Enter a title, date and time for the event. Next, enter an address or name of a place in the search box and click "Select" once it comes up. If the location is in Aberdeen, but is not saved in our database, please click "Add it!" Last, write the events details and please include a phone number, email address or any other helpful information. Click "Post my event!" and you're done.

Please do not add advertising in the events calendar.

Once your event is submitted, Patch will promote it through Facebook and Twitter to help spread the word.
