Firearm Deer Hunting Season Opens Saturday

The firearm season for deer hunting runs from Nov. 24 to Dec. 8.

Maryland hunters will take to tree stands Saturday for the start of firearm deer season.

Hunters who possess a hunting license can utilize firearms to hunt white-tailed and sika deer from Nov. 24 to Dec. 8.

For more details on deer hunting season, check out the hunting guide from the Department of Natural Resources.

Check out the video from the Department of Natural Resources to refresh on some hunting safety tips.

Bow hunting season, which ran frm Sept. 7 to Oct. 17, and Oct. 21 to Nov. 23, resumes Dec. 10 to Dec. 14 and Dec. 31 to Jan. 31.
