Restore Church Offering Military Night Out

Restore Church is hosting Military Night Out for parents with an active duty spouse.

Restore Church will be honoring those who have served and are currently serving with several events in Havre de Grace over Veteran’s Day weekend.

The events kick off Friday, Nov. 9, as the church will be hosting a “Military Night Out” for those who have an active duty spouse or one that is currently deployed.

Restore's Elizabeth Bousa told Patch in an email: “Parents may drop off their children, free of charge, from 6-10 p.m. and enjoy a night out, while Restore offers an exciting and entertaining night for the kids. Children will enjoy games, crafts, movie on the BIG screen and more,”

In addition to the free childcare, Restore Church has partnered up with local restaurants who will be offering specials for the evening. See the attached pdf for all restaurants participating.

Individuals must pre-register their children for this event via the church website or by emailing Elizabeth Bousa at elizabeth@restorechurch.net. Childcare will be first-come, first-serve.

Also, during its Nov. 10 and Nov. 11 services, Restore Church will be having guest speaker Jeff Niklaus whose story inspired the movie Black Hawk Down.

“You don’t want to miss hearing his special story that weekend,” Bousa said.

All active duty and retired military service members who attend Saturday or Sunday church service will receive a special gift. Restore will also have a special children's service at all of its weekend services.

Church services are held at two locations. Perryville Middle School, located at 850 Aiken Ave, will host a 10:15 a.m. service while the Havre de Grace church, located at 616 Ontario Street, will continue to host a 6 p.m. Saturday service, and Sunday morning programs at 9, 10:15 and 11:30 a.m.
