American Idol kicked off its latest season Wednesday night on FOX.

Could an Aberdeen singer become the next American Idol?

Kriss Mincey hopes so.

The local singer is currently competing on Season 12 of American Idol.

"I'm originally from Baltimore, MD, by way of Aberdeen, MD," Mincey said in an introductory video. Watch the video, included with this post.

So Aberdeen, MARYLAND (MD) is in Massachusetts (MA) is it?

Yeah, I noticed that too and had to watch through the whole clip to make sure there wasn't an Aberdeen, MA that I wasn't aware of. Those state abbreviations can be tricky.

I told two of my employees that I had to lay them off yesterday. We all had a good laugh until IRead More told them it was not a joke. I did tell them that it was because of something some evil Republican congressman had done, and that seemed to make them feel a lot better.

Worst April Fools joke: the Maryland Legislature, our beloved leader M. O'Malley, and the poorRead More suffering citizens who are unfortunate to live the Peoples Republic of Maryland. It just keeps getting better and better. When will the idiots who keep voting in the same big spending, big taxing Democrats over and over again, ever learn?
