Why Harford County Zombie Prom? Why not!

Where did this idea come from? Well, if we told you we’d have to kill you and you’d be halfway to having a great costume for the Prom! In reality, we decided to put together a Zombie Prom for the teens of Harford County after one girl was upset because she wasn’t old enough to go to the Philly Zombie Prom.  We figured, hey, why not have one for the high school kids?  Why not make it a charity event?

Will there be alcohol at the event? No, absolutely NOT!  Anyone found with alcohol will be escorted off of the premises.

Will my child be supervised?  Well of course they will be!  We will have plenty of walking dead adults there to make sure all goes well.

Is this a theme party? Well yes, you could say that.

What should I wear? Come dressed as a zombie! For tips and ideas on how to look like a zombie we will refer you to our Philly Zombie buddies; they got this down. Prom dresses and suites are available at local thrift stores and vintage shops, including Goodwill.

Is this legal? Yes, yes it is.

Where is it? We’re still working on that, so stay tuned for details!

How much does it cost and can I bring my high school friends?   The Harford County Zombie Prom is a fundraiser; tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door, no matter how much brains are oozing out of your head! Harford County Zombie Prom is a high school student event so yeah, bring some friends!

Who does this benefit? Is Michael Jackson’s estate getting rich off of this?  Well, his estate is already rich, so he has offered to donate proceeds to Scares That Care. So you can get that feel-good fuzzy feeling by helping a local non-profit and keep the devil off your back for awhile!

How much $$$ are you trying to raise?? We hope to raise between $3K and $4K from zombie donations that evening.

What will you do with that money? $$ raised will go to Scares That Care which is a non-profit organization that helps sick kids. Kids helping kids, how awesome is that?!

What kind of music will be there? Really fun danceable music DJ’d by djs who are passionate about what they do and don’t just use an itunes playlist. Seriously….lots of dancing!

Am I allowed to take pictures or film the Harford County  Zombie Prom? Yes, you can take pictures and film our events. If you do please let us know where we can find them so we can share with the rest of the zombies!

How do I get crowned Harford County Zombie Prom King or Queen? Simple, fill out a form to enter the "Prom Court".  Winners will be chosen based on the zombies with the most votes.

How can my company/event/organization become a sponsor? Please email zombiegirlsherryb@gmail.com for information on becoming a sponsor of this year’s Harford County Zombie Prom event.

This is cool! How can I help? Volunteers are needed for chaperoning, setup, decorating, and cleanup. To volunteer email zombiegirlsherryb@gmail.com

Who organizes these events?  A zombie of course!  This is the first Zombie Prom being brought to you by Sherry and Brandy Billings who play various zombie roles in local independent films.  The success of this year’s prom will be the deciding factor of future proms, so you know it has to be great!
