UPDATE: Crash on I-95 in Aberdeen Closes All Lanes

Police were investigating a crash on Interstate 95 Thursday afternoon.

UPDATE: (2:18 p.m.)—All lanes on I-95 were closed to traffic Thursday afternoon after an accident north of the Riverside exit, according to fire officials.

The crash took place shortly before 1:35 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95 near mile marker 82, north of Exit 80 to Riverside, according to a post by Rich Gardiner to the official Harford County Fire and EMS Facebook page.

Lanes for both north and southbound traffic remained closed as of 2:25 p.m. Thursday as a medevac helicopter prepared to air lift two patients in their twenties, the post states.

According to the state department of transportation website, all southbound lanes were also closed to traffic shortly before 2 p.m.

Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes. These alternate routes include Maryland Route 543 to U.S. Route 40 or Maryland Route 7.
