Man Fatally Shot in Edgewood

The Harford County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide in Edgewood.

A 24-year-old man sustained fatal gunshot wounds in Edgewood Saturday night, and police are working to identify suspects in the case.

Around 10:16 p.m. Harford County sheriff's deputies were called to the 1800 block of Grempler Way in Edgewood after getting several reports of shots fired and an injured person in the area, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

When deputies arrived, they found Quinton Arvel Stokes suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the release states.

Stokes was treated at the scene by Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company emergency personnel then flown by medevac helicopter to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, according to police.

Stokes, 24, whose last known address was in the 1300 block of Gold Meadow Way in Edgewood, died at shock trauma shortly before midnight, the release states.

Witnesses told police they saw a man in tan shorts running from the area. The investigation is ongoing and no further information was available as of 10:40 a.m. Sunday.
