Wind Causes Halt to Two-Way Traffic on Westbound Span of Bay Bridge Tonight

All eastbound traffic will be limited to the span that normally takes traffic in that direction.

Motorists heading east across the twin-span Bay Bridge should expect delays for a reason other than Thanksgiving eve traffic.

The Maryland Transportation Authority has suspended two-way operations on the Bay Bridge's  three-lane westbound span on Wednesday evening because of windy conditions.

When conditions warrant, two-way traffic is permitted on the westbound span with one lane of eastbound traffic directed to the westbound span.
