Aberdeen Home Sales Up 91 Percent

Aberdeen real estate sales climbed in volume and value from July to August.

Real estate sales in Aberdeen spiked in August. Total sales increased by nearly 91 percent over July to $4.1 million. The number of houses properties sold almost doubled and the average sold price jumped by $41K.

Aberdeen properties sold, on average, for about $186K. Houses sold for 94.6 percent of their list price, which is higher than Harford County’s average.

Of the 22 pieces of real estate that changed owners in Aberdeen during August, eight were sold in 30 days or less and three were cash sales.

While there were mainly positive notes on Aberdeen’s real estate front, homes did stay on the market long in August compared to July. It took properties 181 days to sell, nearly an 80 percent spike from July.

In August, there were 166 properties available to purchase, with 27 of those being new listings.

Currently, there are 167 properties for sale in Aberdeen. Eight listings hit the market September 10-17.
