Saxon's Engages Harford Around The Holidays

Saxon's Jewelry store has locations in Aberdeen and Bel Air.

They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend and at Saxon’s jewelry store in Aberdeen, Christmas time seems to prove that theory.

“We sell more engagement rings during the week between Christmas and New Year’s than any other time of the year,” manager Andy MacCord said.

“I’ve seen several people actually propose here.”

MacCord, who feels fortunate to be a part of this special day, has seen multiple proposals happen first hand.

“You really become part of their story and it’s truly an honor. We see a lot of bridal purchases during this time, but we also are now seeing a lot of people renewing their vows,” MacCord said.

Saxons, which has two locations—the other being in Bel Air—is in its busiest time of the year right now and is running several holiday promotions for its customers.

The family-owned-and-operated business is currently offering, until the end of the month, the limited edition Pandora Christmas Tree Ornament with a Pandora purchase of $125 or more.

Pandora beads and bracelets have been one of the more popular items that customers are currently buying. They are the only store in Harford County to be selling the popular bracelet, MacCord said.

For those who have yet to find that perfect gift, the store is also offering extended holiday hours and will be open on Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The store also features the popular Sterling Line, Southern Gates, Dobbs of Boston, and colored gems.

“We are able to provide our customers not only with better service but with a greater quality of good products,” MacCord said.

Saxons also takes the time to give back to its community. For its second year in a row, employees adopted two families from the Harford Family House and also became a drop off point for any donations.
