Business as Usual after Snow in Aberdeen

Was a few inches of snow a big deal? At least one Aberdeen man didn't think so.

The March snowfall drew a mixed reaction from those in Aberdeen.

Three inches of snow had fallen in Edgewood by 8:20 a.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service, and a wintry mix fell throughout the day.

Schools were cancelled in Harford County on March 25, as was the Harford County Board of Education meeting.

Some in Aberdeen did not see what the big to-do was about Monday's weather.

"What snow?" J. Franklin "Frank" Hawley commented on the Aberdeen Patch Facebook page. "Everyone is acting like we had a major blizzard of 3 feet of snow."

According to The Baltimore Sun, two inches of snow is standard for Maryland in March.

For the city of Aberdeen, it was business as usual Monday.

The Aberdeen City Council meeting went on as planned, in spite of the weather.

"Aberdeen did a great job cleaning the roads," Mary Jones-Workman commented on the Aberdeen Patch Facebook page. "They are nice and clear."
