Cooler Temperatures Follow Saturday Storms

Harford County was under a severe thunderstorm watch Saturday afternoon and evening.

Cooler temperatures have followed a wall of storms that battered Harford County Saturday.

Harford County was under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m. Saturday after the National Weather Service issued the alert Saturday afternoon.

Harford County issued an emergency alert through its ConnectCTY service around 1:30 p.m. Saturday:

Good Afternoon, this is Emergency Manager Rick Ayers with an important weather related message. Currently, there is a line of severe storms in Western Maryand and heading East. This line of storms should impact Harford County between 2 and 6 PM.  This line of storms has the potential for damaging winds between 50 and 60 MPH and the slight risk of tornadoes. Please plan accordingly. Thanks and be safe.

Temperatures were forecasted to stay 80 degrees or lower on Sunday.
