Petitions for Same-Sex Marriage Congressional Map Referendums

Same-Sex Marriage and Congressional Map pretition drives are underway to be voted on for November ballot. Please read to find out more on how to get involved. Delegate Glen Glass District 34

Dear Constituents,

It is an honor and a privilege to represent you as your Delegate. As most of you are aware, the petition drives have been ongoing for several weeks now.

After the same-sex marriage bill and congressional map passed through the Maryland General Assembly, Delegate Neil Parrott and I decided that our only recourse would be a petition drive. I informed Neil, chairman of mdpetitions.com, that he could count on the citizens of Harford County to help overturn this detrimental legislation.

This year we are working on petitions to stop the legalization of same-sex marriage here in Maryland and the new congressional redistricting map. Over 130,000 signatures have been collected for a referendum on same-sex marriage and the congressional redistricting petition had a successful month as well receiving over 28,000 signatures.

However, Harford Country has accounted for only 1,430 of the total collected signatures to stop congressional redistricting, leaving us well behind many of the other counties. Your involvement is critical in placing this referendum on the ballot. I encourage everyone to rally and support this petition which will prevent Harford County from being divided as well as other communities statewide.

You can support us by visiting www.mdpetitions.com where you can download, sign, and mail in your petition. If you would like to serve on the frontlines with me, email me at glenglassworks@gmail.com to volunteer. Right now Congress has a current approval rating of only 9%; the citizens of Maryland deserve better.

Sincerely,

Delegate Glen Glass
