Surprise! Kindness Multiplies at Aberdeen Wawa

Aberdeen Patch readers shared stories of random acts of kindness, including one that began with a sparkly hat in a convenience store.

Have you ever seen something that makes you smile, and you want to share the feeling with others?

Donna Bledsoe, who works at the Aberdeen Wawa, said she found herself smiling the other day at work, and it inspired her to pass on the sentiment.

"An elderly customer came into my job the other day...and she was all dressed up with a fancy red hat with sparkles! This made me smile so...as she went into line to pay for her coffee and breakfast, I got there before her and swiped my debit card and bought her breakfast!" Bledsoe said on the Aberdeen Patch Facebook page, after we asked for stories of random acts of kindness.

"She was so shocked and I told her she made my day with her wonderful hat!! She loved it...it made her day..." Bledsoe added.

Her kindness multiplied and brought smiles to even more people's faces.

"I had three customers come up to me afterwards and thank me for making their day. They saw the look on the lady's face and it made them smile!" Blesdoe posted to Aberdeen Patch on Facebook.
