Holiday Home and Business Decorating Contest
You can win the grand prize of $200 for having the best decorated home or business this holiday season.
The Aberdeen Heritage Trust, and the Aberdeen Appearance and Preservation Committee is hosting a holiday decorating contest. The contest will focus on exterior decorations and lighting of homes and businesses during December.
The following three categories will be judged:
Colonial decorations: Theme includes window candles, garland and wreaths with ribbons, fruit or berries and appropriate lighting.

Modern decorations: Theme includes illuminated or inflated characters and appropriate lighting.
Business decorations: Theme is completely open to the imagination of the business owner.

The contest begins at the start of the on Dec. 3 and runs through Dec. 29. All participating homes and businesses should have their decorations on full display from 6 to 9:30 p.m.
First places winners in each category will be presented $200 at a City Council meeting. Second place wins $100 and third place wins $50.
