Veterans Day 2013 in Aberdeen

The city of Aberdeen is having a service at Veterans Memorial Park.

Government offices in Harford County and libraries will be closed Monday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day. Municipal offices within the city of Aberdeen will also be closed.

Aberdeen will have a Veterans Day memorial service at 11 a.m. in Veterans Memorial Park (Parke and Rogers streets, near the library). The Catholic War Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, APG officials and American Legion post members will be in attendance.

The host is American Legion Bernard L. Tobin Post 128, which said lunch will follow the service; 44 N. Parke St., Aberdeen.

Many restaurants are also recognizing veterans on Veterans Day with free food. Check out a list of participating restaurants, including Applebee's and Denny's.
