The Humane Society of Harford County recommends the pets of the week.

From the Humane Society of Harford County:

Dog of the Week: Harley
Age
: 2 ½ years
Color: Tricolor (black, brown & white)
Breed: Beagle mix
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $160
Look deeply into my deep brown eyes … cradle my face in your hands … and I bet you’ll fall in love! Howdy, I'm Harley, and I’m just the sweetest Beagle ever! I came into the Humane Society after I was found as a stray. The people here are nice, but I'm sure your home will be even nicer! I'm a pretty little girl and I would just love to meet you!  I’m kinda shy at times, but I would make a very devoted family pet. If you think I'd make a good fit for your home, stop by and visit!

Cat of the Week: Midge
Age
: 7 years
Color: Black, orange & white calico
Breed: Domestic Shorthair mix
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $75
Sweet as can be, that’s me!! Hi, my name is Midge, and I am a 7-year-old little lady who came to the shelter as a stray. I am a little older, but that means I don’t have the kitten “crazies” and I’m much more likely to lie next to you and be your quiet companion. I am very laid back and easy to get along with. (P.S. I’ve been here for a while, so I’m in the Lonely Hearts Club. My adoption fee is reduced by 50 percent!)

Small Critter of the Week: Sassy
Age
: 2 years
Color: Brown & cream
Breed: Ferret
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $50
This sweet face belongs to Sassy, a name that we've found suits this little ferret quite well! Very loveable, Sassy comes right up to the side of the cage to greet you, and wants nothing more than to be held and given attention. She was brought to the shelter because her owners were being foreclosed, but despite the sad reason she was brought to us, sweet Sassy is flourishing. She's ready for her new home now, so if you're ready for all the antics that owning a ferret brings, stop by and visit her in our Small Animal Room!

One year while in nyc with a college trip I told my parents I had gotten on a train for baltimore,Read More fed up with the school people... I had my mother write down the info and read it back to me several times before she caught on.... This year my daigther called grandma and said she fell down and was bleeding, and couldnt find me.... I started laughing when her injury changed from her knee to her elbow and back.....

I told two of my employees that I had to lay them off yesterday. We all had a good laugh until IRead More told them it was not a joke. I did tell them that it was because of something some evil Republican congressman had done, and that seemed to make them feel a lot better.

Worst April Fools joke: the Maryland Legislature, our beloved leader M. O'Malley, and the poorRead More suffering citizens who are unfortunate to live the Peoples Republic of Maryland. It just keeps getting better and better. When will the idiots who keep voting in the same big spending, big taxing Democrats over and over again, ever learn?

It is not true! I stopped at two McDonald's in Howard County this morning and neither had any ideaRead More what I was talking about. Guess McD's doesn't really appreciate teachers after all!
