Get In Shape this Summer with Skechers at White Marsh Mall!

As a runner, I know how important it is to find a shoe that’s comfortable and that I look forward to putting on. Now, there’s a new choice for the active adult from Skechers.

As a runner, I know how important it is to find a shoe that’s comfortable and that I look forward to putting on each time I want to get out and hit the pavement.  Now, there’s a new choice for the active adult from Skechers.  Always the innovator in shoe design and footwear technology (case in point: Shape Ups!), Skechers has unveiled a dramatic new minimalist running shoe that could be your key to going that extra mile, shaving time off your 10k races or just feeling more energized when you lace up to go for a jog.

The all-new GOrun Ride is as close as you can get to running barefoot, while still wearing a protective sneaker on your foot.  The major difference between the Skechers GOrun Ride and it’s competitors, is the mid-foot support offered, dubbed M-Strike Technology. This added cushion is engineered to promote mid-foot strike, which can help transform impact into reusable energy.

The GOrun Ride was worn by California ultra runner and world-record holder Christian Burke when he finished 2nd in the Born to Run 100K earlier this year. Here’s what he has to say about Skechers GOrun Ride:

“This thing takes a completely new approach and this is the only shoe that I know of that gives me a surface on my midfoot to run on. This shoe is so soft and it conforms to my foot so well and any turn, any change in direction, any thing, any type of terrain it really molds to my foot just the way I want it. That's about as close as you're going to get to barefoot running.”

To hear everything Christian has to say about his experiences, training and his thoughts on the GOrun Ride, watch his interview here: VIDEO

Skechers can be found on the lower level in Zone B, between Macy’s and Macy’s Home Store.  One thing I love about Skecher’s designs is they come in a huge array of colors to choose from, so everyone can find a style they like. My personal preference- the Raven’s purple of course!

If you’ve worn the new GOrun Ride already, I would love to know what you think.

I told two of my employees that I had to lay them off yesterday. We all had a good laugh until IRead More told them it was not a joke. I did tell them that it was because of something some evil Republican congressman had done, and that seemed to make them feel a lot better.

Worst April Fools joke: the Maryland Legislature, our beloved leader M. O'Malley, and the poorRead More suffering citizens who are unfortunate to live the Peoples Republic of Maryland. It just keeps getting better and better. When will the idiots who keep voting in the same big spending, big taxing Democrats over and over again, ever learn?
