Two brothers who live in Aberdeen and Havre de Grace have been charged in connection with a series of robberies that took place in the Aberdeen area within the past month.

A 16-year-old Aberdeen girl has also been charged as an accessory after the fact, according to a release from the Aberdeen Police Department.

The motel clerk told police a tall man in a dark, hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and a ski mask walked into the business and pulled a handgun, according to the release. The man, later identified as Timothy Bowman, allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash and ran toward the Aberdeen Shopping Plaza, the release states.

Bowman, 18, of the unit block of East Bel Air Avenue in Aberdeen, was found in the immediate area a short time later, according to the release. Bowman matched the suspect description and surveillance video of the robbery.

Police believe Bowman's brother, 22-year-old Michael A. Bowman was also involved in the the Days Inn robbery. Police charged Michael Bowman in connection with that crime, as well.

As the investigation continued, detectives found connections between the Bowman brothers and two other recent robberies in the Aberdeen area.

Both Bowman brothers have also been charged in connection with a Nov. 21 robbery at the Clark Loan & Jewelry on South Philadelphia Boulevard and a Nov. 30 robbery at the Cricket Wireless store on Middleton Lane.

Timothy Bowman is charged with three counts each of armed robbery, robbery, first-degree assault and use of a handgun in a felony or violent crime. He is also facing two counts of theft between $1,000 and $10,000 and a single count of theft of less than $1,000. He was being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center Monday evening.

Michael A. Bowman, of the 1200 block of Battery Drive in Havre de Grace, is facing charges identical to his brother's and was also being held without bail Monday at the detention center.

A 16-year-old girl was charged with being an accessory after the fact and has been released to the custody of her parents.
