Aberdeen Bank Robbed, 2 Armed Men at Large

The Madison Bank of Maryland on Stepney Road was robbed Thursday morning.

Two armed men robbed a bank in Aberdeen at 8:50 a.m. Thursday and then fled, police said.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for information. Tips may qualify for a cash reward.

As employees were opening the Madison Bank of Maryland at 501 Stepney Rd. on Thursday morning, two men demanded cash, according to the sheriff's office. The men were armed with guns, and the employees gave them an undisclosed amount of money, the sheriff's office said.

The men left heading east on Stepney Road, according to Eddie Hopkins, spokesman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Both suspects were described as white men with their faces covered. One was 5'8" and 130 to 140 pounds, wearing black pants, a red hooded sweatshirt and black and gray shoes. The other man was 5'7", approximately 140 to 150 pounds, wearing all black clothing, the sheriff's office said.

The FBI is working with the Harford County Sheriff's Office on the investigation.
