Aberdeen Man Shot Tuesday Night

Alton B. Vaughan was found near his home with a gunshot wound, according to reports.

An Aberdeen man is in critical condition after suffering an apparent gunshot wound Tuesday night, Explore Harford reported.

Police first responded to Holly Circle for a report of a shooting before finding Alton B. Vaughn, 23, of the 400 block of Rogers Street, near his home with "a wound in his left side," the article stated.

Patch received an unconfirmed report of an individual with a gunshot wound in the area of Parke Street on Tuesday evening. However, phone calls from Patch to the Aberdeen police department seeking comment Tuesday night, Wednesday morning and Wednesday evening were not returned.

Two Aberdeen police cars were seen near the intersection of South Parke Street and Robinson Avenue around 9 p.m. Aberdeen police declined to provide Patch any information on the incident shortly after 9 p.m.

When asked about an unconfirmed report of a shooting, an Aberdeen duty officer would not confirm or deny that a shooting occurred. He said there was no press release on the incident.
