Aberdeen Police Investigate 2 Armed Robberies Monday Night

Police said the robberies did not appear to be related.

Two armed robberies were reported Monday night in Aberdeen, police said Tuesday. Officials said it did not appear the incidents were related.

At 10 p.m. on Monday, two men showed a knife and demanded money from a man walking on Northeast Road, according to police. The men left after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

At 11:50 p.m., a pizza delivery driver was returning to his vehicle after making a delivery in the 400 block of Edmund Street when a man with what looked like a long gun approached him and demanded money, police said. The suspect—a tall man wearing a thin black ski mask and black jacket with a hood—left after receiving an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.

Nobody was injured in the robberies, and police said the incidents did not appear to be related.

Anyone with information about either incident may contact the Aberdeen Police
Department's Criminal Investigations Section at 410-272-2121.
