Aberdeen Police: Man Assaulted, Airlifted

Aberdeen police said a man was flown to shock trauma after an altercation Sunday.

An man was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma on Sunday after suffering a head injury in an altercation with another man, police said.

According to a statement released by Aberdeen police Tuesday afternoon, Richard Webster, 55, of the unit block of Norman Avenue, was flown out after an incident in the area of East Bel Air Avenue and U.S. Route 40 around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Webster was in stable condition Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The preliminary investigation stated Webster and another male were involved in a fight, when Webster fell and hit his head.

Police are still investigating the incidents.
