Aberdeen Police Radar is Not a Speed Camera

Aberdeen Police Department has set up a speed radar on West Bel Air Avenue near the intersection of Rogers Street.

The Aberdeen Police Department has positioned a city vehicle on the side of West Bel Air Avenue, near the intersection of Rogers Street, to monitor speeding.

The vehicle is not equipped with a speed camera, according to Mayor Michael Bennett.

Bennett said the radar will be moved around to different parts of the city to see where speeding takes place the most. A police vehicle equipped with a speed radar will then be stationed at those locations.
